High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) events give drivers an opportunity to do what they love: get time behind the wheel and on track, however a standard personal auto insurance policy will exclude damage to a vehicle and liability coverage while it is located at a racetrack for the purpose of competing in or practicing for an organized racing or speed contest. This means that if your vehicle is damaged on the track or if you damage someone else's vehicle or the track facility, you will need to pay for repairs out of pocket.

With OpenTrack, you can obtain physical damage coverage for your vehicle and for liability while it is being used in a non-competition track event. Coverage is available on-demand for 1-, 2-, 3-, or 4-day coverage, or on an annual basis.

Race CarsA track insurance policy with OpenTrack is not designed to replace your existing personal auto insurance policy. This policy is designed to fill the gap in coverage created by the standard auto insurance policy for excluding speed and driver training events at a racetrack.

Other insurance companies may offer limited track coverage, but this will often exclude liability coverage or only offer coverages for sanctioned events. A policy with OpenTrack will give you the flexibility to choose to either include or exclude liability coverage and include all non-competition events at covered tracks.
